Top Tips for New Londoners


Finally! You have moved into one of the most vibrant cities in Europe. London is your new home. But are you well prepared? Perhaps in the chaos of moving in you might have missed something. Don’t worry, we are here to help. You can just sit, relax and think about important things, while we take care of all your worries!


See this short list and recommendations which make your days easier and more comfortable.


1. Find a job well in advance! Sometimes the competition in London is very high! If you already have one, then look for a right accommodation to make sure that you don’t allocate much time during your working days.


2. Download City Mapper App – this is the easiest way to find the fastest connections and the cheapest transport means.


3. Register at your local GP – it takes just a couple minutes and you only need basic documents such as proof of address, proof of work/student status, passport or national ID. For more info check the link below:



4. Apply for National Insurance Number – you will need this document to apply for any student loans, your first work, etc. For more info check the link:



5. Buy UK Sim Plan. They have really good offers for the new customers and some discounts for young people! Here are the most well known: Vodafone, Giff Gaff, Lyca Mobile, o2, Voxi


6. Find your favourite pub/bar spot. There are thousandths of them and usually they have wonderful atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot to chill and talk to friends after a long day.


7. Check TimeOut magazine/website for activities, attractions and best places to visit in London!


8. Relax – you will feel like at home soon! London welcomes everyone. You will create unforgettable moments and meet amazing people from various places!
