We all know how busy December can be. It adds more stress to our life, and we often lose our daily routines because there is too much happening at once. We tend to eat a lot of food and treats, and forget about our healthy routines and to take care of ourselves.

No, you do not have to choose the gym over cookie-making with your family to stay fit, but here are a few tips we suggest for not losing track on your exercise routine this festive season: 1. Plan & schedule

If you have a plan or a specific time when to exercise it is more likely for it to be completed. 2. From long to short

Turn long workouts to HIIT and make it short and sweet. There are other important things to do as well! Maybe even attend an online gym class at home, there is often no equipment needed. 3. Get involved!

Get out and about with your family and friends. Long walks in fresh air with great company, there is nothing better. And then after, you could enjoy movies and treats.

4. Portion control

We all cannot resist a big dinner party, where often we overeat because we want to try a bit of everything. A great mind trick is to choose a smaller plate and fill it out with healthy options. It will feel like you are eating more when you actually get less, this time less is more.

5. Drink water

It is always important to stay hydrated. Water fills us up and fires up our body. This is a no-brainer!



Guilt works both ways and one should not feel guilty during the festive season because it is also time to rest and recharge, and give your mind a break!
