New Year, New Me?
There is literally no reason to change yourself completely just because there’s a new year coming up. We all know how we kick off the new year with being really good with our new year’s resolutions, and work towards our goals and then it just fades out without even noticing. Why is this happening? Is it because our resolutions are unrealistic, or do we not take them seriously? Maybe you don’t have any at all, or struggle on what to prioritise. Take time to reflect on the past year and look ahead to your goals for the new one. Here are some questions you might want to ask yourself and tips that might be handy in order for you to set the new goals: 1. What do I want to achieve this year? This could be health and fitness goals, career goals, mental health, finances - life in general! 2. What good habits have I got already, and which ones can I improve? You definitely have good habits that you can bring into the new year, and then there is a perfect opportunity to improve the not-so-good-ones. 3. Create a bucket list of activities you want to try out during the new year – and oh, make sure you tick them off! 4. Be selfish! Spend time with people who value your time and energy, while you are focusing on yourself and where you want to go. People say “you probably always get what you want” and my reply is “YES, I do, because if I want it then I’m going to work my ass off for it until it’s mine. Show them what you are good for – there is no one stopping you from achieving what you want. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
