Spending Christmas Alone This Year?
What a year it’s been, and it is finally coming to an end. Christmas is around the corner, and I guess not everyone is able to spend the holidays as they planned due to current pandemic.
Here are 4 mood-boosting tips if you are spending Christmas alone:
1. Focus on the things you enjoy.
Whether this is staying in watching your favourite program, read your favourite book, make your favourite dinner, or spend time outdoors and go for long walks, make sure you do something you enjoy. Remember it’s ok to not celebrate and try stay off social media as it will be filled with family gatherings.
2. Virtual connections. You are not alone event though you are somewhere else than your family and friends. Make sure you call loved ones during the day on FaceTime, maybe arrange a Christmas quiz with the whole family on Teams or Zoom?
3. Treat yourself. Give yourself a break from your busy life and treat yourself whether this is a gift you have wanted for a long time, or some good self-care.
4. Write goals for 2022.
Look forwards to new beginnings in the new year and write some goals for you to achieve.
Spend the days off recharging your batteries so that you will smash the new goals set for 2022.
